that's a bit easier, right?
Also, peel your eyes for a new group zine and perhaps smaller solo zines under the name of MUSEUMS. The future is bright & shining.

IT, FINALLY
(SPECS; A5, 63 PAGES, ALOTTA COLOUR PICTURES,ALOTTA BLACK AND WHITE PICTURES, ALOTTA WORDS.)
APPENDIX #1.
APPENDIX #2.
(SPECS; A6, 21 PAGES, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT TEXT, A NICE STORY)
---------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
This is the full, finished, final, proper, it it it thing.
It is one hundred percent handmade, it was helped by a standard domestic printer, thats normal. Most of the paper is hand cut (with a guillotine or rotary blade & ruler), there was some pretty intense maths and measuring involved, my gcse stunted brain got round it though.
Keep in mind inconsistencies, mishaps, ill fit bits, things a bit cut off and other sorts of imperfections, they come with the package. Be certain, however, that if anything is unreadable or a mess, you can send me an angry e-mail and request a fix. We'll sort something out.
Otherwise, paypal £10 to jhessiggins@hotmail.co.uk for your very own copy for your very own home or perhaps for a pal or family member, even your school, college or local library maybe?.
Any orders this way might have a wait. The first run (of just under twenty copies) are to be sold WHEN THEY ARE LAUNCHED. The second run will come shortly after (promise!), and i guess there'll be spares from the night in which case you'll get your copy pretty soon.
All is well,
Thanks to LUCY JONES for the beaut of a cover, it really is a sweet treat.
and one hundred million other people for concrete help, abstract help, kind words, love, support, pats on the back, those things.
OH! And a clap clap clap to MA HIGGINS for running me to the buy some more ink about six hours ago, you're a goodun'
Love Forever,
See you soon,
US.

P>S< if you hadn't heard through the grapevine already, "volume one" is it, maybe it shouldn't even have "volume one" tagged on.
This project is finito, burrito. If anyone wants to take over, we can pass it on, pass it on, if so, e-mail JHESSIGGINS@HOTMAIL.CO.UK for the ins and outs of what's been going down behind the curtain.

THE WOUND HAS HEALED AND THE BANDAGES ARE OFF

On MONDAY the 30TH of MARCH we are joining forces with COMFORTABLE ON A TIGHTROPE to launch VOLUME ONE right out of the gutter it's been lying in for the past week at their monthly BEAT UNHAPPENING night.
From 8 O'CLOCK ONWARDS at Manchester's top hot spot for pop happenings the DEAF INSTITUTE there will be a feast of SWEET RECORDS of the GREATEST SORT, there will be LIVE PERFORMANCES from the LEG-ENDS we all know as FORMER BULLIES and one of our much loved contributors LEVERET, there will be a WEE BOOKSTALL for you to make purchases of ZINES and ART BOOKS and CDS and OTHER STUFF MAYBE, there will be DANCING, perhaps ROMANCING, definitely READINGS, and most importantly an EXHIBITION of the work from the zine.
Oh! And it's totally FREE. So bring your MA and your PA and your BRO and your SIS and your PAL and your NEIGHBOUR and your STRANGER.
We are one hundred and twenty percent sorry to anyone who didn't get the memo about last friday but there have been no angry calls or letters and no poo through the postbox so we figure that the wind carried our message to you and thank you for being okay with it.
PHEW AND WHAT A RELIEF! At last, our hopes and dreams, plans of action, leaps of faith and steps towards the light will finally be REALISED and we are eternally greatful for the hands of RL PERRY & L GLENTON. They are saviours of lives.
The poster above was made by JH, LG & RLP. It was alotta' fun.

SAD TIMES
Dear Friends,
We regret to inform you that due to not before seen circumstances Friday's exhibition, launch and good time fest is officially cancelled. The bad news was set free on Sunday morning and since then, with the help of a good friend who is well versed in the skills of call making and kindness we tried to relocate and resolve. However it was simply not meant to be.
We are sorry for everything and we are greatful for you and whoever you are and whatever you're doing it is good in our eyes. We hope that TIME AND SPACE can be shifted so hopefully SOMETHING will still HAPPEN but there is still some talking and some head-scratching to go.
Thank you, Sorry, Hang tight.

IT'S NEARLY HERE
EVERYTHING IS NEARLY TOGETHER NOW AND WE HAVE GREAT FAITH IN HOME PRINTING, TOMORROW TOMORROW IT BEGINS.
ALSO; There is a slight time change for the launch night being that it's now SEVEN UNTIL TEN rather than until ELEVEN which is really totally fine because the booze flow will be low and definitely would not stretch until the penultimate hour of the day, which brings me on to another thing. THERE WILL BE BEER BUT FEEL FREE TO BRING A HIP FLASK OR THREE (please)

A PUBLIC APOLOGY
This is a public apology concerning the lack of updates, keeping people in the dark and poor state of commitment and communication regarding this project;
"I am sorry"
- Jess Higgins, 22nd February 2009, dictated but not read.
The zine is, I promise, well on it's way, two months late and way behind schedule due to an utter disregard of keeping a schedule and miscalculation on the weight of the "real world."
We have an exhibition date, and thus a release date and thus are drawing up a tight schedule to bring you, the adoring public, the work of eleven nippers trying to do good. The line-up has shifted and changed a bit over the past couple of months so here are some updates on the people and what they're doing right now;
TOM PITTS and HOWARD MELNYCZUK just got back from Italy. No way!
ALEX PIERCE just released a fresh set o' songs called DOG STAR, Download and listen HERE and look at the nice cover he made HERE. He's also started posting a blog HERE
KEVIN DOYLE is, as far as I know, still in Cincinatti, Still makin' songs and last I heard, recording with an angry drummer and re-recording a song for a wee label. Sounds swell to me.
I haven't heard from RACHEL ANN DAY in a while but she turns 21 tomorrow. Why don't you send her an e-mail and wish her a nice time.
EMMA TILLYER hosted a ukelele festival today, with a few musicians playing songs on everyone's favourite instrument.
KATY FLYNN is going to Berlin tomorrow and has been talking about making T-SHIRTS alot, she's also looking for NAKED PEOPLE to model for her, why don't you send her an e-mail or check out what her blog says HERE
DANIEL MARSDEN recently turned eighteen, JESS HIGGINS bought him an urn, she's sorry about that too.
I bumped into SAM TURNER the other day, he might be going to Siberia in the summer, he also might be releasing some tapes. Remember to go HERE fairly often and check out some gigs to go to.
TIM WOODALL has a new story up HERE and just started posting a new blog HERE he has also been working to bring writers and illustrators together as part of SOUP ANTHOLOGY
